Christmas Shaker Card

Hi Everyone,
It's Sandy here. Surprised to see me here today?!
Thursdays are Alyce's day to post to the blog, but since the postal services are taking an awful long time and Alyce hasn't recieved her latest DT package with Pion Design's new Christmas papers, which we are showcasing this week, I'm here with you today.
Don't worry though; Alyce will be back again next Thursday!

Ususually around this time of the year I have managed about half of my load of Christmas cards, but this year I'm nowhere near where I need to be, so I can see some massproduction coming on early December, LOL.

Today's card though is made especially for today and it's a Shaker Card:
I cut out the two birds from the 12 x12 Winterbird Sheet. The shaker filling consists of fine white glitter and tiny red beads from my private stash, but apart from that (and the dies used on this card), all the materials can be found at the LLC store. The frame was frantaged with Shabby White and then I scattered some snow-tex on it, on the window panel, well around the whole card actually. :)

The base of my card is one of the fours from the 6x6 Nisse sheet, the middle part is the back side from the 12x12 Winterbird sheet and at the bottom I used the heart border from the Border Sheet.
The border was placed on top of  Lace "Désirée".
The flower display is made up of red poppies, white KOG Hortensias, Wild Orchid Crafts' roses and frosted berries. In the middle I hung a little lantern charm and attached it with the Tomato Red Baker's Twine. The wings or swirls on the sides are Joy dies.
Oh maybe a word about the two figures standing on both sides of the shaker box?!
The left one is "Tilda with Lantern" and the right one is called "Homespun Tilda". These are from a 2007 Magnolia collection and look nothing like today's Tildas, but I think they are very charmy.

That's it from me today.
Please visit us again tomorrow to see our Canadian lady's take on the" Swedish Wintertime".
Hugz,
Sandy
