Sweeter the Bells Never Sound...

Hi Everyone,
Sandy here to post Tina's card for the Christmas Song theme this week.
Tina was inspired by a German Christmas Song with the title  "Sweeter the Bells Never Sound".
Both the image and the papers are from Maja Design's Vintage Frost Basics Collection.

A close up of the frantaged edges and the beautiful Maya Road Love Heart Clip:

The gorgeous gingham ribbon and large bark heart add a nostalgic touch:
Thanks for stopping by today!
Enjoy your Sunday whatever you're up to!

It Came Upon The Midnight Clear

This week's theme has been a joy to play with!!
As we have entered the oh mighty December, the radio and computer are playing Christmas songs close to 24/7 here :) And I have to admit, that even though there are loads of gorgeous Norwegian Christmas songs, there is nothing like the voice of Josh Groban singing

<3<3<3 "It came upon the midnight clear" <3<3<3

In case you didn't know, this week we are to be inspired by a Christmas song, and my card came to live whilst listening to Josh Groban.  The cuties in the image remind me of the angels in the lyrics of the song. They are from Pion Design's tinted paper named "Warm Clothes".
Arent' they cute?!? I have added loads of little wooden stars, that are covered with gesso and star dust. The card base is a disposal paper bag, which I also covered with gesso before decorating. I have used some lovely papers from Maja Design's Sofiero collection, as the papers from Vintage Frost Basics didn't land in my mailbox until after I had finished this one ;) (Next week, I promise!).
The card base is frantaged (if that is even a word?) and I have used shabby white seam binding with a red and white Baker's twine. I have also used the white organza roses trim, and added a gesso covered lantern charm to finish it all off.
"True Christmas Joy is to be found in children's eyes"
The inside is also splashed with frantage, and a Norwegian Christmas sentiment.
The other stamps are from Inkido.
Have you made all your Christmas cards and written the Holiday Wishes for your friends and family? ;)

Hugs & Kisses

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

WOO HOO!  I got to make things SPARKLE!!  hee hee  I used the new papers from Maja Design's "Vintage Frost Basics".  LOVE THIS PAD because there are such non-traditional Christmas papers and sometimes we like to get away from the basic reds.  The image is also from the same collection.

This week at LLC we are inspired by a song and I was inspired by
"We Wish You A Merry Christmas".

This was a chipboard sleigh I covered with white paint first, Glossy Accents then gorgeous GlitterRitz glitter.  Soooo pretty!

A closer look of the pretty image and my little bouquets including the Prima Holiday Jubilee resin piece.

I've used the TH doily to extend my card, popped up a shabby seam binding bow and centered it with a vintage pearl brad.  I also used Spellbinder's new "Icicles" die.  This time I put some double-sided tape on my white cardstock and then punched the die.  Peeled back the tape and covered it with glitter.  Easy peasy!!  I also put 3D foam dots at either end so it sticks out away from the card.

So what are your plans for the weekend?  Christmas shopping?  I suppose I need to work my way around to that pretty soon.  Ya, I haven't really started yet ... ha ha!  Yikes!

Have a great weekend everyone!!
Hugs!

Christmas Nutcracker

Hi everyone! It's Alyce here and today I am sharing my card the this week's Christmas Song theme. The card I have made uses a Saturated Canary image called Christmas Nutcracker... and as soon as I saw this it reminded me of the Nutcracker song! And now it is stuck in my head hehe! ;)

And now I wanted to use some non-traditional christmas colours for fun!! And of course to use my favourite Maja Papers...good excuse no?! hehehe!!! Lots of yummy embellies... I think I am happy with how this one turned out :)

I have coloured her up using the No Lines technique with copic markers. If you would like to see the colours please pop over to my blog :) Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a great day! Alyce xx
