Embracing Earth's Beauty

Hello, crafty friends! It's Karen here with my first post for LLC! (Truly I must be dreaming!) It is an honor to be joining this talented bunch and designing for my favorite store. Thank you for this incredible opportunity, Sandy!

I'm wrapping up our Earth-themed week with a project that embraces and celebrates Earthly treasures. I was inspired to create a Springtime tussie mussie overflowing with the natural beauty that surrounds us. :o)
With Sandy's gorgeous range of products, there's no shortage of beauty with which to work! Pion Design's Blue Fabric from the Paris Flea Market collection was used for my cone base, chosen for its resemblance of a soft blue sky with flowers drifting in the wind.
Madeleine lace ruffles down the base as a breeze, lined with pearls because they are irresistible. The butterflies are cut from the coordinating Pink Fabric sheet.
Shabby Rose Organza trims the top of cone, which is filled with a plethora of LLC goodies. Among them are a few of Sandy's lovely new products: pale pink poppies, pink mist roses, and sweet beaded Apple Chutney pomegranate apples. I adore these apples, which even have beaded stems. Creating with such dreamy products is magical, as you all certainly understand. :o)

Thank you for visiting LLC and I wish you a beautiful day!

Hugs and blessings,

Introducing our New DT Member

Hi LLC Blog Readers,
Hope you're all having a crafty weekend!
It's Sandy here and today I have the pleasure of introducing a new DT Member to you.

The newest member of the LLC team is Karen from Michigan, USA.

Karen is the talent behind Kaleidoscopic Sparkles

I'm sure many of you will already have come across Karen's beautiful vintage creations in blogland. The first time I got my eyes on her work was through the LLC challenge and I was immidiately smitten! A few months later, when I ~at short notice~ was challenged with finding a new DT member, I thought of Karen, so I contacted her and to my great delight, she accepted my offer! :-)

I'm very excited to have Karen joining LLC; I can't wait to see her first project, which she will post tomorrow. :-D I'm also looking forward getting to know her a bit better, but I can already now tell that she has a big heart; most of  Karen's art work is for charity.

Now I'd like to share some of Karen's stunning creations with you:

Our Earth, Our World

Hello everyone, Vicky here today. Now I have been extremely busy this week & apart from my DT cards going on my blogs, some being scheduled I've not had the time for my laptop & internet.
So although I knew Becky used a certain stamp.........I've just seen Diana also used it lol. Well great minds think alike..........but in all honesty it was the perfect image to use for us Magnolia lovers & I dont have time to make another one I'm afraid.......

So here is again Earth Tilda..........however she does have a friend with her ;-)
I've used the gorgeous Maja Design 'Nyhavn Limited Edition', I've used a XXL Spellbinder die for the top layer. As always all papers have been stitched.

I've added 2 lots of beautiful lace, Sandy stocks the most gorgeous lace & I'm always stuck for choice to which one use.
I've also used a Magnolia Postage stamp & stamped on the paper. You can also see I've added a Bark the shabby stars & hearts, they can be used for so many occasions.
Ok so I've used my new Earth Tilda & beside her I also placed Puppy Love Wiola. Both have been painted with distress ink refills & markers.
I also used the Magnolia Postage stamp on the image too & inked the edge with Pumice Stone & machine stitched around the edge.

Sandy has got lots of new flowers, Pomegranate Apples & berries from WOC, OMGoodness they really are so so gorgeous. The larger flower in the centre is also one of the new 'Magnolia' flowers, in front some Pomegranate Apples & just peeking out behind is the new Beaded Berry Stamen...........lush!!!

Well that's it from me today, the building work is nearing the end thank goodness, although I will have lots of work to do when its finished. Cleaning the whole place for a start...........dust gets everywhere doesnt it :-( Today though we are retiling the kitchen.......

Hope you have a lovely weekend, take care.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Protect our earth, we only have one!

Hello everyone!
Diana is already here! No... you have not slept through the weekend !!! I have swapped my place this week! *lol* So here is my project for the earth theme this week. I have to use the cute little Earth Tilda from Magnolia. She is perfect for this theme! And this time I have made a circle shaped card and hold it in brown earth tones. And the papers from the new MajaDesign Vintage Baby fits so good. And did you see the beautiful new flowers and berries that Sandy have in the store??? I love them and had to use them here too.
