Butterfly Baby

Morning Everyone,

I needed to make a Christening Card and with the theme this week set as "The Great Whites", was perfect for my card.  I chose one of the latest edition Little Darling Rubber Stamps by Saturated Canary called Beautiful Baby, isn't she gorgeous and so was little baby Lillie, so cute and such she was so good, even when the water was poured over her head, bless.  So as you can see I have used lots of white embellishments which was perfect for a Christening card.

I took the photo's with a white background but didn't feel that this justified the card, so I took some with a black background too, would love to know which you liked.

I have used the Maja Design Limited Edition Sofiero "Enjoying the lovely fragrance" as it was a very soft pink.  And don't forget all the new Maja Design Autumn Basics are now in store.  The image was coloured with distress markers.

The whites was made easy with the floral collections that LLC now carry, wild orchid crafts rose buds, large rose bud,  medium gardenia, Lily, 10cm open roses and the gorgeous white flower spray and foam flowers.  I also added some shabby white frantage to the larger butterflies.

I have also added a Magnolia white angel amongst the flowers and some of the latest Lace Amelie.

I have used a Melissa Frances Resin Chiswick Frame and coated it in some white gesso, which I also added around the card and flowers.  The little black and white butterfly was cut out from the PionDesign Vintage Wedding sheet.

Here's a picture using the Melissa Frances 6 inch Flower Hanger.

I also took a couple of pictures against a black background so the whites would stand out as the card looks much better irl.

There is a tag at the top of the card using the Magnolia Doohickey Wrapped So lovely die and this popped into a mini white paper bag.

Calendar in blue.

Hello blog world, Elin here.
Today I got a Calendar to show you. As some of you might know, I make a lot more than just cards. Mostly because I like it ;) But also because I attend different fairs when we get close to Christmas. And one of the things I bring with me, is calendars for the new year to come. It's a popular gift both to give and receive.

Here is one of my calendars made this week, with a lovely resin butterfly from Melissa Frances:
I have dug up an old and very much loved Maja Design collection: Vintage Summer Basic.
I have also used a few elements from Vintage Spring Basic as you can see.
The lovely pearls are from Inkido, and are to be found in the LLC store along with the laces.
The cute calender sign is from Maja Designs Vintage Spring Basic collection. The flowers are from both WOC and K&G, all to be found in Sandra's store.
A close up of some yummy flowers and the gorgeous butterfly! As you can see, I tend to add Gesso to all my dark colored roses ;) I think they blend in more naturally when they get a hint of white on them.

Well well, that's it from Norway this week ;)
Thank you for stopping by to take a peak!

Hugs & Kisses

Sweet Resin Cherubs

This week the ladies have been playing with the Melissa Frances resin pieces and aren't they doing a fine job?!  The MF pieces are super gorgeous and what an amazing collection available at LLC and now even some new stuff!!

I thought about one of the biggest resin pieces I have and immediately went to the little cherubs and found a matching vintage image from Pion Design. I was trying to avoid covering up that oooooooooh so gorgeous "Alençon" lace.   I've also got some jute layered under the Madame de Pompadour lace for texture.

I don't normally use a lot of foilage on my bouquets and was determined to start when I saw some new dies from Noor Design.  I asked my teamie to send some over since I wasn't sure where to find them and no problem!  Thanks Tracy!!  I love them!  Once you add some gorgeous Kort and Godt rolled flowers, Melissa Frances pearls and some Magnolia vintage berries....WELL!  OH MA GOSH!  I might have to try this a few more times.  I LIKE IT UH-LOT!  (Jim Carey anybody? hee hee)

I managed to sneak in another resin piece with SANTA!  Maybe more appropriately "Father Christmas".  hee hee  I've used papers from Maja Design's "It's Christmas Time" collection and cut the numbers and Santa image from a tag.  I added a little shabby chic ribbon, flower and VOILA!

Here you see some of those oh so pretty Wild Orchid Crafts flowers that LLC now carries.  Love the hip rosebuds and I don't use them much but I might start.  They sure finish off a bouquet rather nicely don't you think!

So that's what I have to show you for this week.  Have a great weekend and HAPPY CRAFTING!
