Summer..........

Hi everyone, Becky here today with my summer creation.

I'm hoping that we are going to have such a lovely summer this year and we get a hosepipe ban, so we will have to dig our watering cans out. We actually got a hosepipe ban in April last year, they slightly jumped the gun a bit, we ended up with quite a 'damp' summer after that, lol.

I've coloured Tilda Watering with distress markers and pads, I don't like the way the browns colour with the markers. I've used Aged Aqua frantage around the image too.

The papers are from Maja Designs Vintage Summer Basics 6x6 pad, the edges have been distressed with Walnut Stain.

The roses are from my stash, there are links to everything at the end of the post. I've dabbed picket fence here and there along with stickles for sparkle.

Hugs,

Becky xx

Altered Notebook

Hi Everyone,
Sandy here to post Tina's Inspirational Project for this week's theme "Summer".
I don't know about where you are, but here in SE England it certainly feels like it has arrived. :-)
For her project today Tina, has used the perfect Summer papers....
Does it look familiar?
Thought so. This is one of the pretty images found on the Image Sheet of Pion Design's new summery Collection, Vintage Garden.

Tina has altered an old notebook:

The cardboard was painted with gesso, then Tina embossed it with "Shabby Pink" Frantage Enamel.
Also the metal frame around the image and the metal rose have been fran-taged.

Here's a side view of the notebook:

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Please visit us again tomorrow to see Becky's take on Summer.

Summer

Evening Crafters,

I must apolgise for my post being so late, but each time I pressed the shoot button on my camera it blurred the picture and I have been tearing my hair out, literally.  Anyway I left Hubby playing with the settings this morning whilst I went to work and he seems to have made something happen, lol.

O.K. little rant over, the theme this week is "Summer" and Summer to me means sun and the yes the beach/sea, so I have used this very apt vintage image and applied some of those cute little seashells that Sandy has in store along with a Vial bottle, so now it's all summery to me.  I didn't quite have enough blue embellishments so I used my copic airbrush system and added a touch of blue to the Hortensias and one of the little seashells.

I have used the Pion Design Vintage Garden Ornament in Blue.  I added a grey crotchet flower and added the cream leaf from the Prima fabric flower Chantelle Doily set along with some of those dainty Hortensia's, flower spray and a Kort and Godt Rolled Rose in Blue.

The little ensemble to the right consists of the seashells, Hortensia, the new Roman Numerals with some aged Aqua frantage,  one of my favourite colours, an Idea-ology corked Vial bottle, which I will add a little sentiment in later and I cut out the flower ticket from the Vintage Garden 6x6.  Just above this collection is a Pion Design Butterfly and a metal rose, also frantaged in Aged Aqua in the centre.  The doily just under this section has also some aged aqua scattered, looks fab in real life.

And here we have some of Sandy's internationally famous vintage seam binding, finsihed off with a clay heart and 2mm string pearls and attached to a Magnolia So Wrapped Lovely Tag.  Lots of Gesso and a sprinkling or two of snow tex, here and there hehehe.

The beautiful pearl lace at the bottom has been layered onto some Ribbon Picot and don't they look like they were made for each other.

Thank you for visiting and I'm sorry I was so late, dam Cameras!  Be sure to check back tomorrow, I know Tina will have a fabulous Vintage creation that I just know I will be drooling over.

Hugs Tracy x

Geekin it with paint in the vintage garden

Hi there LLC lovers!
Louise  here with you today. We have had some serious fun this week and I bet its more than me getting fingers all covered in paint ;) Yes our weekly theme is "Paint". To tell the truth it wasn't much of a difference for me since I always use it nowadays. You have to promise me not to forget to go back and take a look at all the gorge creations my teamies made this week in case you missed out.

I decided to use a rubberstamp that has been screaming out its need for ink sitting on my desk for weeks and its the utterly cool image called Geekin it. She is so sweet I think! Her glasses are so fashionable here in Sweden atm so a very up to date geek ;) She is colored with my di pads on 300 gr watercolor paper. I tried a different hair color again and i used a combination of Tumbled glass, Salty ocean and Walnut stain.
Since our little geek has an apple placed on the top of her head I FINALLY got the perfect opportunity to use one of the latest new items in the Live and love crafts store namely the stunning mini apples. They are so fabby! And of course every girl has a mobile phone so thats the charm I ended up using. For my paint I used two di crackle paint products, the tattered rose one and od course the picket fence one ;)
For a list of all products used pls check the end of my posting. Heres some more close ups:

Thank you so much for being here today!
Be sure to visit again tomorrow to see what Tracy has in store for you all.
Lots of love,

Challenge #12 Birthstones

Hello All Followers & Friends,
Welcome to our June Challenge, LLC's 12th challenge!

June marks the 1st Anniversary of LLC. It was on June, 25th last year that LLC opened its virtual doors to the public and on July 1st we kicked off with the very 1st LLC Challenge.
The theme back then was Nautic and we had 26 entries.
For last month's challenge, "50 Shades of Lilac", we had 107 entries...

Now that's what I like to call growth!  :-)
From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank everyone who has been taking part in our challenges over the last year, thereby helping to spread the word about LLC and contributing to the success of the store and our challenge. Thank you so much for your support!!!

LLC's 1st Birthday obviously calls for a celebration, don't ya think?!
We are planning on a blog hop with lots of fab prizes at the end of this month, and there will also be a separate Blog Candy. To thank all our Facebook followers (yay: we just passed the 1000 milestone last week), there'll be a Facebook Giveaway, and we are certainly not forgetting about our Instagram Fans, there are over 900 of them now, so there will also be a candy just for them!

The randomly drawn winner of last month's challenge is...

Hmmm...I think I can identify some LLC products on this beautiful card :-)
Congrats Diana, you have won £25 to spend at the store!
Please contact me, Sandy, to claim your prize.

June being the month LLC was born, this month we have got the perfect theme...
I'm sure most of you know how this works; you check this chart (or you may choose a different chart if you prefer, there are tonnes of them out there) and create something with your birthstone in mind.
Alternatively, you can also choose the birthstone of the recepient of your card/project. We're not fussy; all we ask is that you in your blog post please state which birthstone your creation is based upon.

KARITA:  FEBRUARY - AMETHYST

LOUISE: APRIL - DIAMOND
TRACY:  MAY - EMERALD

SANDY:  JUNE - PEARL

BECKY: SEPTEMBER - SAPPHIRE

ELIN - OCTOBER - ROSE

As usual, we are thrilled to welcome two fab guest designers.
First we have Camilla from Sweden, an icon within the Magnolia World.
Camilla earned her guest design spot with a stunning entry for our Bingo Challenge in April.

GDT CAMILLA - JANUARY - GARNET (RUBY)
This card illustrates Camilla's happiness when I invited her to guest design for this challenge :-) Camilla, we are all very happy and priviliged to have you!

Our second guest designer is the extremely talented Vicky from the UK. Vicky masters her Copics as well as she does vintage image cards, and she's always amongst the LLC DT's favourites when choosing the Challenge Top Picks, so we thought it was about time we invited her. :-)

GDT VICKY - PEARL (for daughter's birthday in June)

There you have it.
We hope to have inspired you to make your own "birthstone creations".
Have fun - we can't wait to see what you'll create!
