Advent Calendar Window #1

Hello Everyone,
December is here and with it comes the holiday that we crafters have been preparing for for several months now, some of us even a whole year: CHRISTMAS!!!
Christmas is the season of joy, a time to relax and to spend quality time with friends & family (and maybe to do some crafting :-)). It's a season full of traditions and it carries different meanings to people around the world. Christmas is also a time of giving and receiving.

When I suggested to the DT Members that we would do an Advent Calendar, they got very excited.
We are all delighted to be able to share the Joy of Christmas with you, our loyal friends and followers. The Advent Calendar is a way for us to give something back to you, our way of thanking you for all the support and encouragement that we have received from yourselves over the last 6 months.
So welcome dear friends, welcome to the first window of the LLC Advent Calendar 2012!!!



As this is the first day, here's a short explanation how it's going to work:
 I've asked the DT Members to state some of their favourite products from the Live & Love Crafts Store. Each day, from today until December the 24th, one of the designers will be posting a Christmas project here on the blog, using one of their favourite products that will be that day's Christmas Candy.

For your chance of winning, please do the following:
1) Become a follower of this blog if you're not already
2) Post our Advent Blinkie in your Blog Sidebar. The html code can be found here.
3) Leave a comment on the blog post with your thoughts on the project.

Each window will stay open for 2 days, meaning the winner from the 1st will be announced on the 3rd, the winner from the 2nd on the 4th and so on. I will draw a random winner amongst all the eligible entries and the winners will be announced here. The winners will have 7 days after announcement to contact me, Sandy, to claim their prize.

Now I think I've kept you waiting long enough...

Today's prize is this set of 40 White Rolled Paper Roses from Kort & Godt:

This is not just a favourite product of mine; actually all members of the LLC DT are very fond of these rolled paper roses; they are so simple to use and add elegance to any craft project! They look even prettier when adding pearls or a bit of glitter to the centers like DT Member Elin sometimes does.

I kept it rather simple this time, and did not add too many embellishments as I didn't want to cover up the gorgeous papers and I wanted the focus to be on the image.
This beautiful image is from Sweet Pea Stamps and called Poinsetta Fairy.
