Candy Floss and Pink

Happy Friday Everyone,

Tracy here and my thoughts on the theme of carnival this week was of Candy Floss and so pink immediately sprang to mind, so I have used dashings of pink in my creation.

I was going to use a watering can as the charm but Sandy has some new charms in store and this 3D bucket was just soooo cute I had to use it, anyway the little bear already has a watering can so the  bucket would do nicely, don't ya think, well it does hold water, lol.

I have used 3 different papers, starting from the bottom Pion Design A Day in May "Lady, Maya Design Vintage Autumn Basics III and for the top layer Maya Design Vintage Frosts Basics 3rd December (not just for christmas, hahaha), links at the bottom of the post.

Seeing as Jenny Bear is caring for her window box I thought the Prima Junkyard Taps/Kobs with the word "CARE" was perfect for this card.  I have added some hortesania's, 20mm rose and some pink flower spray.

Here's a close up of the little Bucket 3D charm tied to a Magnolia So Wrapped Lovely Tag and finsihed with some Moulin Rouge lace, twine and a 15mm two tone rose and a dashing of gesso.

My artsy photo, lol.  Well a girl has gotta try.

Hugs Tracy x

Circus Trixie

Hi everyone, Becky here today with my take on Carnival. I decided to go with two meanings, being from the UK I tend to think of carnival as fairgrounds, parades, circus' etc. In fact in Hartlepool we have a fair that visits us every year, and has done since the 1200's, which culminates on Carnival Saturday, this is in August.

So when I first saw this challenge, after the initial, eek what have you given us now Sandy, lol, I immediately thought of this image, and then with it being Shrove Tuesday next week, or Mardi Gras, and if I have it right, Mardi Gras is the end of the Carnival, so I went with the Purple and Green of Mardi Gras, I toned down the yellow to cream, so it's sort of there in spirit.

Phew, what a lot of waffle, here's my card.

I've used papers from my favourite collection 'Shall We Have Coffee', and have distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz tool.

As always there are links to everything at the end of the post.

I have coloured Circus Trixie in with distress reinkers, I love all of her hair.

Thanks for looking,

Hugs,

Becky xx
