Behind the Scenes...

Good Morning.Sandy here with the first blog post of the day.
Since it is the 1st of the month we’ll have a brand new LLC challenge for you in just a few hours, but for now I have a very special project I’d like to share with you all.
I hope you haven’t missed out on our fun CARNIVAL themed week!
If you have, please scroll down and check out the details of the gorgeous cards created by the LLC DT Members.

As it is Saturday today it’d have been Elin’s day to post, but we have as a rule that the person who’s due to post on the 1st when challenge goes live can skip her weekly post.
But Elin has made something for this CARNIVAL week has to be seen!!!

The process of deciding the weekly themes usually starts with one of the organized DT Members reminding me that a new month is coming up. I first tend to ask if there are any special requests, or if anyone has any suggestions…then I put my dictatorship hat on and write the themes in stone...

So back in January I looked into a calendar and decided that Carnival would be a suitable theme for the last week of February. Said and done; the girls started exchanging ideas about what to create for the carnival week and Elin mentioned that her daughter had asked for a Piñata for her birthday…

WIKIPEDIA DEFINITION
A piñata is a container often made of papier-mâché, pottery, or cloth; it is decorated, and filled with small toys or candy, or both, and then broken as part of a ceremony or celebration. Piñatas are commonly associated with Mexico.

However; Elin wasn’t sure if she should really create one and if it would be suitable, so that’s when I decided to step in and do a poll in the LLC DT Group on Facebook:
PLEASE NOTE: It was Alyce's idea to use only yes-answers.
I take no responsibility for this. Did you hear that, Eliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin?

Here's an excerpt from the conversation that followed:
As this is a family friendly blog, Elin's reaction and the epithet she gave me when she noticed the poll will need to be censored. :-)

The conversation continued....
As you can tell, there was still a bit of hesitation and some DT members uttered their concerns:
Alyce called for caution as it could be a dangerous project.
Tina suggested to go for less complex construction, possibly to prevent serious injury?!
Myself thought about how to incorporate LLC products that wouldn't get smashed and bashed.

But Elin she had already informed herself by watching tutorials on YouTube....she had a plan and she was like they say in the Nike commercial "just going to do it".

Then, to my great dismay....

So, on this note I proudly present the carnival project of the week, created by the lady who never turns a challenge down.....

Elin's Piñata!!!

How awesome isn't this?!!!

And here's Elin's daughter Victoria in action:

Hope you enjoyed this little glimpse behind the LLC DT Scenes.

Thanks so much Elin for accepting the challenge and sharing this extraordinary project with us!

Hugz, Sandy
