Sweet Cherubs

Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend, went too quick as usual.

This week the theme we will all be following is "pink", so I'm sure your in for some fabulous eye candy this week from the DT.  I've used subtle elements of pin,  in the design paper, tag and those beautiful two tone wild orchid craft roses.  The gorgeous Angels are from the Inkido, so beautiful.

I used the back of the 12x12 Image sheet from PionDesign Winter in Swedish Lapland and added a section of A Romantic Picnic in the park from the Sofiero collection to add some subtle pink. The two tags were cut out of  PionDesign Winter in Swedish Lapland 12x12 tag sheet.  I added a Tim Holtz Hinge Clip to one of the tags and some snow tex.

have also added some of my favourite lace again, Empress Alexandra, so very beautiful.

A close up of the tags.  I added two pink wild orchid craft roses, a small pine cone and some snow tex and holy leaves.

Aren't the two tone roses beautiful.

The minature trees are cut from a Marianne Design die, collated together and stickles added for a little sparkle.

For A Baby

Hi everyone, Tinchy here with my card for this week's theme 'The Great Whites'..
I chose to make a baby themed card..
Never made a yellow one and I thought it would be fun..

I just had to use these gorgeous yellow papers from the Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics Collection..
The rest is all White of course..

I love paper flowers and Sandra has the most wonderful assortment in her store..
I've used WOC hip rosebuds, open roses, liles, cherry blossoms, wild roses, sweetheart blossoms, cosmos daisies and Kort & Godt Chrysanthemums..
They are all so gorgeous, don't you think?

The metal corner, shabby seam binding and pearl string are just some of my favourite embellishments.. They really do add that special touch to a project..
And the baby bottle charm is sooooo cute..

Of course how could I not put some cheese cloth and lace there.. I really do like cards with LOTS of layers..
The Frantage is another thing I couldn't live without..
And the Crackle Paint..
And the Stickles..
I could go on like this forever..

You should really check out the LLC store..
There are tons of new products that I cannot wait to get my hands on..

I hope you enjoyed!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Hugs

Winter Wonderland Cookie Box

Another Saturday and another day of inspiration from me, Elin :)

This week our team leader has given us the ultimate challenge (in my eyes that is): The great white(s)... Well to make something totally white was just TOO easy, so I made something that came into my mind when I heard the theme: A winter creation! To me winter is the great whites for sure, so here it comes: A winter wonderland cookie (or candy) box:
Here in Norway we can buy nuts in boxes like this one. When the nuts are gone, the box is excellent to decorate and to use as a gift or for storing other things. Here I have used Pion Design's latest collection: Wintertime in Swedish Lapland. The picture on top is from the same collection.

The top is decorated with flowers from WOC, a hint of frantage, cheesecloth, a few foam flower buds and a bark heart in white... I had to choose white decorations to match the theme of course ;)
Around the box I have layered a few laces, added a fabric flower from Prima and a few white pearls from Melissa Frances.
A close up of the lid, and notice the lovely pearl brand. I found one in my stash and had totally forgotten about these beauties! I need more :D
And here is how the box looks like with the lid on:
Now that should be enough pictures for one day, don't you think?!
Thank you so much for stopping by our blog, and for taking the time to leave lovely comments for us!

Hugs & Kisses
Elin

Inkido Vintage Angels

This week at LLC we were challenged for sure!!  At first when I saw this inspiration theme I was freaking out as I've always avoided it but now that I've done it heck it's EASY!!  GREAT WHITES!!  You don't have to balance out any colors so what was my dilemma?!  As long as you have lots of texture it works!

I've used Maja Design's "Vintage Summer Basics" papers but I always get such a kick outta myself when I use summer or spring papers for winter or Christmas.  hee hee!  I used another image from Inkido's "Vintage Angels" collection and distressed it as well as every layer.

Don't you just love these white poinsettia's?  I used a Magnolia doohickey but before I used the die I added some double-sided tape to some vellum.  After I made my cuts I peeled off the tape and dipped the piece into some GlitterRitz but any glitter will do.  I added some Frosted Berries for the center which already have a bit of a shimmer to them.

Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and shabby chic bows are an easy extra embellie to any card.  Ok not that it was easy to think of something to add in that blank space but it was easy to add because it doesn't take long to make up some bows and add some flowers.

This big embellishment piece was FUN!!  The resin wings from Melissa Frances are called "Heaven Sent".  I added a teardrop pearl along with some more flowers and some foam flower buds to finish it off.

Are you all starting to work on your Christmas cards yet?  I have a big list so we'll see how far I get this year.  LOL!!  Thanks for coming back again!
Enjoy your weekend!

Fin-Tastic

Hi everyone! It's Alyce here and today I am sharing my take on the "Great White" theme!! So...Sandy dared me to be a bit cheeky on this one... no whites from me but a Great White Shark! haha!! ;) Here is my card using Fin-tastic by Saturated Canary.

I've paper pieced some gorgeous Maja Design papers on to her Bikini. Lots of yummy new flowers and laces on here aswell! :) Don't you love the cute sea shells? I frantaged these up and they look really cute in real life! We are coming into Summer over here in Australia so these type of embellishments are perfect for us! :D
If you would like to see the copic colours that I used, please pop over to my blog :) Thanks so much for stopping by!

Whiteness....

Hi everyone, Becky here with my creation for our Great Whites week.

When I embellish my cards I tend to use mainly white or cream flowers, so on this one I only used white flowers.

I have used papers from Maja Designs Sofiero collection, even the strip along the bottom. The edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz tool and Walnut Stain. Everything I've used is available instore, just click on the links at the end.

Hugs,

Becky xx

White Winter Wonderland

Good Morning Everyone,
Sandy here as usual on a Tuesday, to post Tina's card for this week's theme "THE GREAT WHITE(S)".
I like to give the DT some "fuzzy themes"sometimes; it's fun to see how they interpret the themes, don't ya' think?!!!

Before we move on to Tina's card; just a quick note on Maja Design's new Autumn collection, Vintage Autumn Basics:
The 12x12 sheets arrived yesterday and are gorgeooooooooous!
Unfortunately the 6x6 paper pads have been delayed; Maja Design expect them in stock today, so hopefully I should have the pads in two-three days.
You can pre-order the pads HERE, and your order will be sent as soon as I've had the pads delivered.

Today Tina has used papers and image from Pion Design's "Wintertime in Swedish Lapland".

The frame around the image, as well as parts of the card have been embossed with Shabby White, which creates a beautiful shimmer on the card! Shabby White is only one of the many great whites; there's also gesso, which Tracy used on her card yesterday, and then we mustn't forget about snow-tex, crackle paint, acrylic paint...there are loads of great white products to use for a shabby effect!

Here's a close up of the flower arrangement; all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and can be found at the LLC Store. There you'll also find the adorable pom pom trim from Melissa Frances; the white one is one of my favourites to use on Christmas/Winter cards.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please visit us again tomorrow when it's Becky's turn to inspire with the great whites!

Hugz,
Tina & Sandy
